Four Seasons Hotel Austin appoints Maria Hirt as New Director of Marketing

Four Seasons veteran excited to call Austin home

Austin, U.S.A, 2013-09-26 — / — Four Seasons Hotel Austin announces the appointment of Maria Hirt as Director of Marketing, overseeing sales, catering, public relations, advertising and room revenue at the 291-room hotel in downtown Austin.

Originally from Lima, Peru, Hirt is a long-time Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts manager, serving in various sales and marketing positions around the country over the course of her 19-year career. Most recently, she makes the move to Austin from Hawaii, where she served as Director of Marketing for the brand’s two Lanai properties –Four Seasons Resort Manele Bay and Four Seasons The Lodge at Koele – from 2011 to 2013. Before Lanai, Hirt was Director of Marketing at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.

Prior to joining Four Seasons in 1999, Hirt held various hotel operations, sales and marketing positions at Marriott Hotels and Crown Plaza Hotels, in both Atlanta, Georgia and Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Hirt is a graduate of Valdosta State University in Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. An avid golfer, she enjoys pilates, stand-up paddle boarding and hiking with her husband, Brian, and retired racing greyhound.
